Carol is a regular memory researcher in the university of The Eyes of Faith. As deadlines approach she undertakes the difficult task to understand the perspectives and feelings distilled from the memories of people - ordinary and otherwise. But after a faithful game of chess with her mentor James and a surprise addition to her research courtesy of her best friend Colin, she will have to navigate the difficult balance between ghostly, vampiric and immortal memories, and the search for the truth.

A mentor and his student meet in a place of knowledge to play a familiar game of chess, with the caveat that this time the wager is a very precious item. Will the student manage to outsmart her mentor, or would the mentor’s experience get the upper hand? With a wager this personal, only the best strategist wins.

Based on a monologue by the same name, written by a screenwriter with a BAFTA nomination for his work, Shattered dream is a short film exploring the radical change in a man’s life after a sudden diagnosis makes his dreams fragile. As United Wolves’ official first short, we like to look at the Shattered Dream as the experimental grounds on top of which we build the high quality projects we produce today.
